In extremely hectic situations, especially as ground controller, having every airplane and its mother all talking and asking for pushback (and radio check when you don’t reply to them fairly quick), etc. can be very annoying and distracting. In those situations, it would be nice to be able to broadcast to all aircraft under your control to standby. I’ve heard a broadcast like this from RL controllers.
EDIT: Additionally, a setting that makes aircraft only monitor ground when they’re ready for pushback, rather than spawning and immediately requesting. Since I run with the ground screen open at all times, I’ll always notice when they’re ready, regardless of if they check in.
