Add KMDW as an airport#354

L

Chicago Midway International Airport (KMDW) would be an excellent addition to Tower! Simulator 3 due to its unique operational challenges and high-density traffic environment. Located just southwest of downtown Chicago, Midway is one of the busiest airports in the United States despite its relatively compact size and short runway system.
The airport features a rare five-runway configuration arranged in an intersecting pattern, one of which was designated as a taxiway earlier, making it more unique, which creates complex ground and arrival/departure sequencing scenarios that would translate extremely well into air traffic control gameplay. Controllers must carefully coordinate runway crossings and departure spacing, especially during peak periods.
Midway is also one of the largest bases for Southwest Airlines, resulting in extremely high volumes of narrow-body aircraft movements throughout the day. This produces constant departures and arrivals that keep controllers engaged with rapid sequencing and efficient taxi routing.
In addition to Southwest’s dominant presence, the airport hosts operations from airlines such as Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, and Volaris, along with regular cargo activity. This mix provides variety in airline callsigns and aircraft types while maintaining a realistic traffic environment.
Another advantage of Midway is its distinctive terminal layout and tightly packed ramp areas, which require careful ground management. The close proximity of runways and taxiways forces players to plan taxi routes efficiently to avoid congestion.
Overall, Midway would offer a different experience from larger hub airports already featured in Tower! Simulator 3. Its compact footprint, intersecting runway system, and high-frequency airline operations would create a fast-paced and highly engaging control environment that emphasizes precision and efficiency.
