2nd busiest airport in Canada and trans-Pacific hub; great compliment to CYYZ and VTBS as it plays host to the stopover for ACA33/34 from YYZ-SYD and is the only North American airport with a nonstop flight to VTBS/BKK. Other interesting carriers include Hainan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines and standard routes by other mainline Asian carriers as well as European carriers like Lufthansa who operate the 747-400 to YVR and BA who for a time flew the A380 seasonally to YVR from LHR. Other highlights include a flight to/from DXB/OMDB (which is operated not by Emirates but by Air Canada) and Air Canada’s longest route which is from YVR To Singapore. It is also a beatiful, modern airport with stunning architecture that won Skytrax’s Best North American Airport award for 12 years straight from 2010 through 2022.
If that weren’t enough it also has an attached floatplane base with regular service by Harbour Air to across BC and the Pacific Northwest. It was an airport that was included in Tower 3d pro and was quite well-recieved if I remember correctly. Would be awesome to have it in this version as well.
