As the popularity of European airports continues to rise in tower simulation games, it’s time to consider Austria’s most important airport: Vienna International Airport (LOWW)
Vienna International Airport is Austria’s largest and most significant airport, serving as a key gateway between Western and Eastern Europe. In 2025, it ranked 17th among the busiest airports in Europe, highlighting its growing importance in international air traffic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_busiest_airports_in_Europe
Handling over 31 million passengers annually, LOWW features two parallel runways, with a third runway planned, an efficient taxiway network, and serves as the home base for Austrian Airlines as well as base for low-cost carriers Ryanair and Wizz Air and since April 2025 also for leisure airline Condor. With a balanced mix of passenger, cargo, and general aviation traffic, it offers a highly dynamic environment for tower simulation gameplay.

Including LOWW would provide players with a realistic and challenging experience in the heart of Europe, introducing the first Austrian airport in the game - and the country’s most important one.
